{what's old is new again ...}

Every so often I'll see a trend I've already experienced years and years before, and I'm only 30 so I think this is a good testament to the rapid recycling of trends in both fashion and home decor. Today I'm highlighting both a decor and fashion flashback we are currently seeing on the scene.

First up, I love to keep all my magazines and just so happened to riffle through a 2006 issue of House & Home this weekend. An article looking at 'design mistakes' highlights a ceramic Great Dane originally featured in 1987 as a major faux pas ...

... but never say never! While a little more sleek & simple, the dogs are back in full force! I would credit Ms. Kelly Wearstler at least partially for this canine resurgence.

Next, a fashion flashback {and there are sooo many lately!}: we're still seeing colored jeans, and animal print is everywhere, but can the two be put together? The answer is a definite yes!

The flashback? Here are a pair of pants I've been keeping in my closet since grade 11, yes you read that right ... 13 year old pants! What do you think, should I attempt to re-rock these?? They still fit! I'm thinking maybe a pretty black blouse and flats ... or am I crazy?

So what trends have you noticed cycle through recently? There are probably hundreds! If you are a blog reader and want me to highlight something you have observed, email me your thoughts. If you are a fellow blogger and would like to submit a guest post on a recycling fashion or home decor trend email your ideas to me and I'll get back to you asap!
